Dominique is a PhD student studying Human Activity Recognition for eldercare and healthcare applications. This research combines qualitative spatial reasoning and radar-based technology to enable robust, scalable, and generalizable activity monitoring while also ensuring privacy in the home.
Prior to joining the lab, she graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B.S. in Engineering Mechanics and minors in Robotics, Computer Science, and Philosophy. She is the current Diversity and Outreach Chair for the Graduate Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics (GA^3). Outside of MIT, she volunteers as an Emcee and Game Announcer at FIRST Robotics events and fosters cats with Black Cat Rescue.
